Hey there, awesome Moxie-Dude readers!
It’s TUESDAY today and if you read this post, you know that it’s also two-for-one chicken wings at Cunningham’s in Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue.
And since I like to plan meals ahead mostly never, even I was surprised at my thoughtfulness yesterday. Except that my son’s definition of “thoughtfulness” is much closer to the word “annoying”.
This text between my son and I kinda proves it.
Me: Two for one chicken wings at Cunningham’s tomorrow?
Son: Not really.
Me: Awwww. Why?
Son: I don’t feel like chicken wings.
Me: Well you can have something else then.
Son: No.
Me: Why not?
Son: I don’t want to go out tomorrow. Not in the mood.
Me: Well you’ll probably get “in the mood” tomorrow. When you’re hungry. It beats whatever I’ll make.
Son: MOM. I’m in class! I’m not in the mood and I can’t be explaining myself to you now!
Me: K. And oops.
Me: Sorry.
Son: STOP TEXTING ME.
Oh – you must have a teen/preteen – that sounds just like the kind of text conversation that I would have with one of my boys. Except my oldest would wait hours to text me back because he might get in trouble (he is a major rule follower).
Yup. 15. It’s a “lovely” age 🙂
Let me guess…teenager? Cause that’s exactly how mine sounds. We wanted to take him out for dinner the other day to celebrate something, and he made some comment about how he’s too tired. (Translation: Too embarrassed to be seen in public with his parents?) Following you now.
lol – Welcome to my life!
