Happy Hump Day, awesome readers!
So in case you’re ignoring your calendar, Valentine’s Day is around the corner. What does that mean? It means stress for some. Disappointment for others. And cha-ching for flower shops, restaurants and anywhere that sells chocolate and condoms.
Lucky for me, I’m single so I’m not stressed. I’m never disappointed and I can buy my own damn chocolate.
That sounded bitter, didn’t it?
The truth is that I have no issues with being single – especially on Valentine’s Day. Call me a rebel but I believe that ANY day is a good day to show your affections.
Personally, I prefer to spend Valentine’s Day with my kids. And since they’re now in their mid teens with one foot sneaking out from under the blankets as they wait for me to tuck them in at night and the other stomping out of the room in a heated moment of “stop babying me!”, I’ve decided to make this Valentine’s Day extra special.
My plans? A celebratory evening of dinner and a movie. Since we’re talking about teenagers here, dinner will of course be pizza. (But don’t tell them. It’s a surprise!)
What about you? What are your plans for this Valentine’s Day?
Good idea. I will celebrate it with you. Happy Val… I guess it is already HAPPY for you. Isn’ t it ?
It certainly is!!!
