Happy Monday, awesome readers!
A favourite family sport here in Canada (almost as favourite as ice hockey except that we don’t win gold medals for it) is to hijack our kids during spring break and escape to warm places that don’t even have ice.
For my teens and I, this is Florida. This is partly because my teens and I love fresh-squeezed orange juice but mostly because we have family in the Sunshine State that we love to visit. Yes, we’re blessed and we know this – in a non-arrogant way. (Although I have noticed that I’m slightly more interested in the below-zero temperatures of back home when I’m here letting the ocean air tangle my hair. But that’s not being arrogant, right? It just means I’m appreciating the non-winter.)
The nice thing about escaping to foreign lands and staying with people who LIVE in said foreign lands is that they know all the best places to visit and shop. And every year we get to go to (what I consider) the best flea market ever. Even the teens enjoy browsing through other people’s junk.
And look! I found this for my office!
Isn’t it perfect?!!
[…] Possibly the only place my kids will publicly hang out with me is at a flea market in Florida […]
