Jonathan: Have I lost my childhood?
Me: What do you mean? You’re 12!
Jonathan: Yes, but I don’t have anything epic to remember it.
NOTE TO READER: “EPIC” IS THE NEW WORD IN OUR HOUSE. EVERYTHING IS NOW EPIC – BIG OR SMALL. (THE EXPECTATIONS ARE SUDDENLY VERY HIGH.)
Me: What? English please.
Jonathan: Well, like Greg has his hockey cards from when he was a kid.
Me: Oh. Well you have all your Sponge Bob stuff.
Jonathan: But that’s not cool. Hockey cards are cool.
Me: So start collecting hockey cards then.
Jonathan: It’s too late for me.
Me: *Cough*
Suggestion…. Flea markets have lots of Epic stuff you can buy for cheap… ya man EPIC!!
LOL – Thanks, I’ll tell Jonathan!
It’s sad, but I seem to remember that feeling of being too late to follow/get into something as a kid. As if, because my parents didn’t start me at it when I was three, then it was just too darn late. Kinda sad…I blame the media. 😉
