Happy Monday, awesome Moxie-Dude readers!
Weekends go by too fast, don’t you think? I definitely think. And while there’s always so much to do (read: catch up on), weekends are also supposed to be about resting. At least that’s what I’ve heard. Except who has time to rest when there’s so much to do?
I’m talking in circles. Let’s move on, shall we?
This weekend I was reminded once again how quickly and irreversibly our kids grow up. It seems like just yesterday that my son was looking up at me and holding out his arms to be picked up. These days I have to strain my neck to look up at him. And then there’s the sudden disappearance of his little boy voice. (I miss that voice.)
He still calls me “mommy” (pronounced MOMmy), which I love but somehow the appeal is . . . different due to his newly developing quasi-baritone voice. This alien voice especially freaks me out when I hear it over the phone.
Or when he asks me to tuck him in at night.
*Sigh*
Confession: I suck at this whole “the kids are growing up” thing.
