Hey there, awesome readers!
It seems like just yesterday when I was perfect in the eyes of my kids.
I always had all the right answers to their questions.
My silliness was always greeted with bubbly giggles.
My authority as the parent was never questioned.
It is with a heavy sigh that I say . . . those days are gone.
While driving my teens to school yesterday I was informed that I’m “annoying”.
Apparently singing along to the “Chuck E. Cheese for my birthday” song is unacceptable behavior. Or something.
My first reaction?
“No. YOU’RE annoying!”
My daughter’s response?
“Yeah. Very mature, mom.”
PS. If you don’t know the song, I found this for you.
I KNOW, right? I mean, how can anyone NOT sing along to that?
