Hey there, awesome readers!
I know some of the coolest people. And so I thought I’d talk to you today about my friend, JC Little, known online as The Animated Woman. She really is very animated but just to clarify, she’s an animator.
Why am I telling you about this sparkly, dynamic friend of mine? Because she just launched her second book titled, Motherhood.
What I love about this book is that while it demonstrates the universal story of motherhood from beginning to non-end (because let’s face it, the role of mother is driven by a gush of emotions that are eternal), the absence of words gives readers an opportunity to tell this story using their own familiar language – after all, one family’s “hug” is another family’s “cuddles”.
JC has a poignant flair for capturing life moments and sentiments and relaying her stories through drawings. If you’re a mom, or have a mom, or are close to a mom, or are about to be a mom – you will love this book.
Oh and guess what! Mother’s Day is around the corner and to be quite frank, this book says it all – possibly even better than that greeting card company. Just saying.
Where to find Motherhood by JC Little The Animated Woman:
You’re right, Mona – every family has its own language. The wordless-picture book hopefully transcends that. I’m so glad you liked it.
Thank-you for reviewing Motherhood!
You’re so welcome, JC. Loved it. Love your talents!!!
