Happy Valentine week, awesome readers!
According to the internet, there are five love languages that include words of affirmation, acts of service, receiving gifts, quality time, and physical touch.
It’s a good list but it’s not complete.
Of all the things my someone and I do together, I think that laughing together is probably our fave activity. It’s what bonds us.
More than going on a 13.5 km hike together. (A very bad decision when the RIGHT decision was practically waving PICK ME in front of our faces.)
More than being late for appointments together. (Which can still fall under “quality time.”)
And even more than surprising each other with thoughtful gifts. (Although, I knew he accepted me for my awkwardness when this mug entered my life.)
So, yes. Laughter is OUR love language, and it works for us.
In fact, the picture above is my very first Valentine’s Day gift to him several years ago.
But enough about me. Let’s put the spotlight on you for a minute.
Have you figured out what your love language is?
And something to think about… Is your love language the same as your partner’s?
I’m not a relationship coach but I’m pretty sure that knowing your partner’s love language is important.
